Jonathan's paddle boat ride- the result

After a nice ride with Kim, Ralph and Nathan in the paddleboat, Jonathan didn't quite make it off the boat to safety. In his own words "I went splash in the water!!" Ralph had to get wet too, in the rescue. Luckily, he was wearing his life-vest, and there was only about 2 feet of water. Unfortunately, it was cold, and the water was dirty! The joy of raising a boy! (to see the picture more clearly, click to enlarge)

garden overview

March of Dimes- 2009

Better late than never, some pictures from this year's walk. 6.5 miles around Lighthouse Park. Ariana and I walked the whole thing, and the kids had fun at the park! All in all we raised close to $500 for the March of Dimes, thanks to all who donated and participated! We'll see you next year.

Garden 2009- Phase Two

Adding some annuals for color. Still need to put additional mulch to fill in the holes. I can't believe how quickly the mulch breaks down!

The new birdbath

The new copper bird bath, thanks MaryEllen and Dennis!!

Butterfly Garden- Year 3- Phase One

Just getting started on the garden for this summer. I put up the new bird bath I got for Christmas from Uncle Dennis and Aunt MaryEllen, and planted the perennials I ordered from Burpee. I got three more scabiosa butterfly blue plants, and a mix of echinacea. The sedum and butterfly bush are already starting to come back and perk up, not sure what is going on with the rest of the plants, but it is early yet!
