This one's for Maria!

O.k., Maria has these gorgeous pictures that I believe she got from Jessica, of hearts randomly in coffee cream, clouds, etc. I think this flower could be right in there. It looked like a heart to me, and it has the benefit of also being red! This is a plant that Errica gave me. I almost killed it at first, but it is now living and thriving on my slope. Pretty neat!

garden overview and the new kid on the block

Here is a picture of the garden overview. I am amazed how many more aster plants came up this year. Almost everything came back that was supposed to- except my butterfly blue plants, not sure why. The butterfly bush got a lot bigger, and is growing vertically rather than horizontally this year, which is nice. The new plant is Russian Sage, which I was trying to find for a while, and finally did. You can click on eithe picture to see them larger.

Alyssum

Here are some pictures of the first butterfly garden flower to bloom this summer. This is alyssum planted from seed. There were some white and some purple seeds and for some reason the white bloomed faster. The flowers themselves are very tiny, but it makes a nice border.

Our digital camera broke!

Well, the pictures have stopped here in the Norse household as our, um, I mean, Mike's camera is not working. I know I was using a lot more than Mike was, but technically, it was his. Now it looks like I'll have to buy a new one, since I needed a digital class for my art class this summer. Figures it would pick right now to break! : (

Any good suggestions? We were considering a Kodak that's on sale at BJ's Wholesale.

Party for Errica's graduation

We had a great time at the dinner for Errica at George's II. What a dinner it was, check out my bowl... that thing was huge!

More pictures from the touch-a-truck

Touch a Truck

O.k., at first Jonathan was terrified of all the extremely loud beeping, since kids were blowing all the loud horns at once, but eventually he did end up enjoying the trucks. And he really liked the recycle truck, which he got to sit in for a while before we left.
